The 2024 Masaza Cup’s Matchday five witnessed a low-scoring affair, with only four goals scored across nine games.
The goals came in four separate matches, with Buddu, Buluuli, Buweekula, and Kyaggwe each winning by a single goal.
In the Masengere group, all games ended in draws, with Buvuma and Kabula sharing the spoils on Saturday, followed by Busiro and Busujju drawing with Ssese and Mawokota, respectively, on Sunday.
Kabula lead the table with just a point above second placed Busujju with 10 points. Mawokota with only one win this season occupy third place with six points. Buvuma who have registered four draws in four games sit in fourth place with four points. Ssese is a point above botton place Busiro who have a game in hand with three points.

In the Bulange group, Buddu Captain Pius Ssebulime’s winning goal handed Bulemeezi their fourth loss of the season, while Buluuli also secured a narrow victory overĀ Bugerere thanks to Robert Ssewanyana’s impressive strike.
Buluuli sit top of the group with eleven points with Kyaddondo in second place on eight points. Bugerere and Buddu are third and fourth tied on seven points separated by goal difference. Butambala and Bulemeezi are fifth and sixth place on five and three points respectively.

The Muganzirwaza group saw Buweekula extend their unbeaten run with a 1-0 win over record winners Gomba, courtesy of Mukiibi Sharafah’s goal. Kyaggwe also returned to winning ways, defeating Kooki with Ivan Kalyowa’s goal in Mukono while Leaders Ssingo were held goalless at Mawokota.
It’s a tight race in Muganzirwaza group where the top three a separated by one point, Ssingo on eleven, Kyaggwe on ten and Buweekula on nine. Mawogola in fourth with high chances of qualification to the next round has seven points while record title holders Gomba are fith with three points. Kooki sits bottom of the table with one point.
