Buvuma secured their first win of the 2024 Season on Sunday evening, defeating Busiro 2-0 in a rescheduled Masengere group match at Ssentema.
Ntege Gordon opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 55th minute, followed by Kasolo Dezideriyo’s goal a few minutes later, earning him Man of the Match honors.
This victory propels Buvuma to third place in the standings with seven points, maintaining their unbeaten record along with Ssingo, Buluuli, Buweekula and Busujju.
Busiro, still seeking their first win, remains at the bottom of the log with just two points halfway of the group stages.
The two teams will face off again next weekend at Magyo in the second round of the 2024 Airtel Masaza Cup.
