Mawokota have confirmed Brian Ssenyondo as their new head coach.

The Kitara boss, who will start his role on August 24, replaces Steven Bogere, who took charge of his final Liverpool game against Busujju on Sunday 11th after being in charge of six game this season in Buwama.

During his time at Mawokota, Bogere won one game only this season, drew three games and lost two games. He has conceded three goals and scored on two occasions.

Mawokota announced Bogere’s sacking on August 11th 2024 in a statement issued via its x/twitter.

The statement read “Essaza Mawokota FC Executive Committee has unanimously decided to part ways with Head Coach Bogere Steven and his Coaching Staff with immediate effect. This decision has been made after careful consideration and a thorough review of the team’s performance.”

The following day August 12th 2024, they released an official statement informing their fans of the termination of the contract of the head coach, coaching staff and the Camp Manager Ssempijja Joseph’s resignation from his role as camp manager.

Mawokota’s Statement:

Ssenyondo, Head Coach at Kitara Football Club which he joined after the end of his contract with UPDF in June 2023, he previously managed Synergy, Mbarara City, and UPDF, in addition to serving as an assistant coach for the U17 boy’s national team.
