Kyaggwe and Buddu took significant strides toward the 2024 Buganda Masaza Cup final with thrilling semifinal first leg victories over Buweekula and Kyaddondo, respectively.

At Mukono, Steven Nyalimu’s brace propelled Kyaggwe to a 2-1 comeback win. Herbert Asiimwe’s early opener for Buweekula was cancelled out by Nyalimu’s first-half equalizer, followed by a second-period winner. This triumph ended Buweekula’s unbeaten run in the championship.
David Mutono’s Kyaggwe seeks their maiden final appearance, while Felik Ssekabuza’s Buweekula must regroup for the return leg next Sunday to reach their third Masaza Cup final (2012, 2021).
Buddu Takes Control.
In the other semifinal, two-time champions Buddu dominated Kyaddondo 3-1 at Muteesa II Stadium. Kayongo Michael and Mike Walaga scored three unanswered goals after Isaac Ssenyunja’s initial lead for Kyaddondo.
The return fixture is set for Mubnde and Kitovu next Sunday, determining which teams advance to the November 2nd final.
