By Sunday evening, the two teams set to compete in the 2024 final will be confirmed, following the conclusion of the semi-final clashes at various venues.
Four teams—Buddu, Buweekula, Kyaggwe, and Kyaddondo—are vying for the coveted final spots. Kyaggwe and Buddu hold a significant edge after impressive first-leg victories.
Kyaggwe, led by Steven Nyalimu, stunned Buweekula 2-1 in Mukono, while Buddu took control with a 3-1 win over Kyaddondo at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku. Kayongo Michael and Mike Walaga scored three unanswered goals, overturning an early strike by Kyaddondo’s Isaac Ssenyunja.
Buddu heads into the second leg at Kitovu with confidence, having defeated Kyaddondo in all three of their previous meetings. They won the first group stage encounter 1-0 in Masaka and were awarded victory after Kyaddondo prematurely ended the second match.
The aggregate winners of these two fixtures will book their places in the final, scheduled for November 2, 2024, at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
