The first leg for the 2024 Airtel Masaza Cup quarterfinals will happen this weekend with four exciting games on the menu.
Busujju, who finished the group stages unbeaten, will travel to Bethen City Stadium to face Kyaddondo, who secured its automatic slot in the quarters on the last game of the group stages by defeating Bulemeezi 4-2 in Gayaza.
Buweekula has finished the group stage round unbeaten for two consecutive seasons (2023 & 2024) while Buddu didn’t lose any of their last seven games to secure their place in the quarter finals.
Buweekula, who are the only other side not to face a defeat this season apart from Busujju, will travel to Buwama in the first leg to take on Mawokota, who qualified to the quarters as one of the best losers, having accumulated 16 points.
Buweekula has finished the group stage round unbeaten for two consecutive seasons (2023 & 2024).
Ssingo, whose only loss this season happened against Buweekula on Matchday 10, will travel to Mukono BSP to battle a Kyaggwe side that was the second-best losers in the group stages. They ended with 15 points in 10 games to join the other 8 clubs in the quarters.
The other remaining quarterfinal to be played this weekend will see Kabula take on Buddu in Bakijjulula. Kabula finished second in Masengere group with 19 points while Buddu ended the group stages top of Bulange group with 18 points. To proceed to the last 8, Buddu didn’t lose any of their last seven games.
The second legs of the quarterfinal will happen next weekend, with the victors over the two legs advancing to the semis scheduled for next month.
