Buddu is set to face off against arch-rivals Kyaddondo in a high-stakes Bulange group Masaza Cup match on Sunday, but they’ll have to do it without experienced coach Simon Peter Ddunga, who’s serving a one-game suspension.
The ban comes after Ddunga’s involvement in Buddu’s narrow 1-0 win over Butambala last weekend in Masaka.
This is a significant blow to Buddu, who currently sit second on the log with 11 points. They’ll travel to Gayaza to face Kyaddondo, who are just a point behind them in third place.
In other Bulange group matches, leaders Buluuli will face Butambala, while Bulemeezi hosts Bugerere.
Meanwhile, the Masengere group features a battle between bottom-placed Busiro and leaders Kabula, as well as Busujju vs. Ssese and Mawokota vs. Buvuma.
The Muganzirwaza group will see quarterfinal bound Ssingo face troubled Kooki, unbeaten Buwekula take on Kyaggwe, while Gomba face Mawogola.
