The semi-final lineup for the Buganda Masaza Cup has been confirmed following Sunday’s quarter-final clashes.
Kyaggwe, Buwekula, Buddu, and Kyaddondo are the teams that advanced after Ssingo, Mawokota, Kabula, and Busujju were eliminated.
Ssingo’s hopes of a third Masaza Cup triumph were dashed on Sunday, as they bowed out at the quarter-final stage after a 2-1 aggregate loss to Kyaggwe over two legs.
Buwekula also progressed to the last four with a 2-1 aggregate victory over three-time winners Mawokota. Felix Ssekabuza’s side will now face Kyaggwe for a spot in the final.
Buddu cruised into the semi-finals with a 3-1 aggregate win against Kabula, while Kyaddondo knocked out Busujju with a 2-0 aggregate score after Sunday’s 1-0 victory.
Kyaddondo will meet Buddu again in the semi-finals, following their earlier encounter in the group stages this year.
The semi-final matches will be played on Sunday, 6th October, and 13th October, with the winners advancing to the final, scheduled for Saturday, 26th October.
