Defending champions Bulemeezi FC began their Masaza Cup title defense on a disappointing note, losing 1-0 to Bululii in Luwero. Robert Ssewanyana’s early goal in the seventh minute proved to be the decisive factor, as Bululii claimed all three points.

Ssewanyana’s strike came courtesy of a well-executed cross from Bruno Mukwaya, which the star player neatly tapped past Bulemeezi goalkeeper Ben Sinalya.
Despite creating a few more chances, Bululii failed to extend their lead. Bulemeezi’s best opportunity to level the score fell to Dickson Kamya in the second half, but he was unable to find the target.
Following this setback, Bulemeezi will aim to bounce back on July 7th, 2024, when they travel to Kayunga to face Bugerere. On the same day, Bululii will host Butambala at Kakooge.
