At a meeting of the Masaza Cup Organizing Committee (MCOC), Masaza Cup Teams will pay tribute to His Majesty Kabaka Mutebi II.
To honor the monachy’s extraordinary life and 31 year coronation anniversary as a mark of respect.
Hon. Patrick Nsanja in a statement issued on 25/07/2024 said “… there will be a commemoration of the 31st anniversary of Kabaka’s coronation under the theme Our Unity is the Power of the Throne”
“All players and referees across all stadiums where these matches of 27-28/7/2024 are to be played will together form a circle as a symbol of unity amongst Kabaka’s subjects which will be done for a full minute before kick off”
