Members of Kyaggwe and Buweekula’s technical staff have been suspended and warned respectively by the Masaza Cup Organising Committee over misconduct during their Semifinal first leg game on 6th October 2024.

Kyaggwe staged a remarkable 2-1 comeback at Bishops S.S Stadium, Mukono, to end Buweekula’s 2024 season unbeaten run courtesy of a brace from Steven Nyalimu. Herbert Asiimwe’s early opener for Buweekula was cancelled out by Nyalimu’s first-half equalizer, followed by a second-period winner.

“Kintu Muhammad, the security officer of Ssaza Kyaggwe Football Team, has been suspended for all the remaining matches of the 2024 Masaza Cup for failing to fulfill his responsibilities during the Kyaggwe vs Buweekula Match MCOC100 in Mukono” reads a statement issued by Hon Nsanja Patrick the Masaza Cup Organising Committe Secretary on 8th October 2024.

The statement goes on further to read “In the Ssingo vs Kyaggwe Match MCOC98 Kintu instructed Kyaggwe team not to use the dressing room provided to them. Despite receiving a warning from the organizing committee about the situation, he continued with the activities that put the image of the tournament at a difficult time.”

Kyaggwe fans one Prime and Nalongo Berkia have been banned from attending the semifinals return leg when Buweekula take on Kyaggwe in Mubende on 13th October 2024 for the violence they were involved in during the first leg fixture in Mukono.

Meanwhile some members of Buweekula technical staff went away with a warning. These were Byamukama Fred – Team Secretary, Kyambadde Joseph – Head of Technical and Mugerwa Geofrey – Publicity.
